What about the second? What if Wilson had scored instead of just gotten the first down?

Play calling is not a black/white good call bad call issue. Results may be one factor that indicates if a play call was optimal, but there are so many other factors to consider.

It is unfortunate that BYU did not play better. I can definitely see how calling a pass on the second Hadley run may have been a better call. But I don't have all the factors the coaches do when the decisions were made.
