it doesnt help us at the head of the football program. However, on balance, maybe more money helps us get better assistant coaches, or strength and training?
Overall though, I agree with your thought, more money just makes us a more rich WCC school which isn't that impressive, outside of the conference nobody really knows who is in the WCC or care about it. And more $ doesnt help us compete with the prestige of being in a big conference for football and it doesnt make the football team more fun to watch or play for, and it doesnt address the bar being set extremely high for athletes to get accepted or the Honor Code, etc. There are a lot of barriers in place IMO that another 5 million a year or whatever doesnt help fix.
Nobody wants less money of course, so it would be nice I'm sure to have more, but there are a lot of issues that money wont solve for BYU.
