He's a good coach, but comparing the years they were not a P5 against the time we were in the MWC, they had a higher high in 2008, but Bronco outperformed with similar resources. 

Imagine if KWhitt took over during independence--he would have neutered the offense. Bronco had good defenses so I'm not sure if KWhitt would have been better or worse. K Whitt would have likely had better special teams. 

So you take a neutered offense, a similar defense (IMO), and better special teams, I don't think he would have done any better. 

I'm interested in your thoughts on why he would be better. It's a good discussion and my opinion is not worth much :).
