There was a stretch during the game where we would run on first down
then pass on second down but poor execution resulted in either incomplete pass or no/minimal gains leaving us a 3rd and long situation.
Why we can't consistently get first downs on 1st and 2nd down plays or at least put ourselves in 3rd and short situations is frustrating. Watching the OU/OSU game over the weekend made me envious. They both were moving the ball at will. It was awesome.

Time
1st and often 2nd downs. Leaving yourself with a 3rd and long on a consistent basis is not a recipe for success.
