As a subscriber, I passed on to Mandel what cwilke1 found in the NCAA Postseason Handbook about who is and isn't eligible for bowl games. Mandel incorrectly claimed that 7-5 teams HAD to be taken before 6-6 teams. That isn't the case.
Note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly applied an NCAA rule. It is now updated to include a projected 6-6 BYU team.
