I think the money would be there if Boise and SDSU moved to the AAC for all sports, plus BYU and Gonzaga for Olympics, and a formal football affiliation with the AAC and BYU and Army.
Football
- WEST: SDSU, Boise, Tulsa, SMU, Houston, Memphis, Navy
- EAST: UConn, Temple, Cincinnati, ECU, UCF, USF, Tulane
8-game, 6-2 conference schedule.
* Formal alliance with BYU and Army for OOC games and bowl lineup. BYU plays Boise plus 3 others every year. Army plays Navy plus 3 others every year. Eventually...as room on future schedules allows. This gives the AAC the best brands available, including 3 or 4 games involving BYU and Army for the AAC media contract...and national exposure for the AAC teams that play at BYU and at Army.
Add bowl games in Las Vegas and San Diego or Los Angeles to the bowl lineup.
Basketball
- WEST: BYU, Gonzaga, SDSU, Boise, Wichita, Tulsa, SMU, Houston
- EAST: UConn, Temple, Cincinnati, ECU, UCF, USF, Tulane,Memphis
20-game schedule includes 14 home-road intra-division games and 6 cross-division games. Rotate the conference tournament between Las Vegas and New Orleans - and may be throw in an East Coast venue occasionally.
