Best way to lower the "barrier to entry" is to get women's gymnastics in the Big 12.  Oklahoma is big on women's gymnastics, and Denver is an associate member.  It shows well on TV, making byuTV and advertising piece.

Then, add men's wrestling.  UVU is already an associate member in the Big 12, and wrestling is also something that does well on TV (at least in the midwest). Oklahoma (and all wrestling schools) and dedicated to the survival of the sport.

Having those sports in the Big 12 makes a huge difference in lowering the barriers to entry.  Also, having those sports in the Big 12 makes us more desirable to other P5 conferences as well.
