I want tax dollars to fund education, not sports. Therein lies the argument. I
also do not think that tithing funds should support sports (aside from tuition benefits that all students at church schools receive, so not sports-related). Athletic departments should fund themselves or cease to exist. If a fanbase wants its team to do better, it should provide the resources.
