I agree with about half of what you said. IMO you’re analyzing Holmoe’s words
more than 90% analyze scriptures. I don’t disagree that the first half of the Utah game wasn’t the best point to emphasize.

I don’t disagree that frustrating mistakes have been made. I don’t disagree that the direction change wasn’t necessary but for things that happened over the last two years.

I do think it’s obvious that Holmoe has to try to thread the needle right now in showing confidence in Sitake so as not to wreck the incoming recruiting class and give the team a chance next year all while keeping the door open to make a change if this year’s positives aren’t built on next year.

While I share most of your frustrations about the last two years, I think it’s fair to say Coach Sitake has figured some things out about being the HC at BYU. And the only way to really get those things is to coach at BYU.

So the real question is whether we bring someone else in who will probably take two years to figure those things out or if we stick with Coach Sitake after next year.

Obviously, next year’s play is needed to answer that question. But it isn’t remotely naive to think we have a decent chance of having things play out such that it becomes obvious we should keep Coach Sitake.
