The 11 players line up facing each other’s sideline instead of towards end zones. To clarify, each team has to be on their side of the hash marks but can spread out all the way.

3rd, The kicker can kick either direction (toward either end zone but it has to clear the other hash marks (similar to 10 yard rule) for recovery

4th whichever direction they kick (side of the 50) is the receiving teams end zone.

This means they can pick out specific matchups where they think they have an advantage but the further they kick the ball the further they would have to go to score if they successfully recovered (because the field always flips) (like losers walk when you were a kid).
