I think part of that comes from the expectation BYU fans have for other LDS

people. It was that way in California. I didn't like BYU growing up because members in California expected me to be a BYU fan because I was Mormon. They would all talk about BYU and it was a weird expectation. So I was kind of counter cultured against BYU. Maybe that's the same thing down in LSU country. I'm just guessing, but I have experienced that before.
