Harmon Killibrew was a member. Does ANYONE talk about that?(even members?)
Same with Dennis Eckersley. His affiliation with the Church was never talked about during a pennant race or world series game.
Ainge, Young, Detmer, Jimmer, Taysom, etc. will always be associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because they played a high-profile sport at BYU.
Did you see what happened when Tanner Mangum completed a hail-mary pass against Nebraska? His missionary photos and testimony were broadcast on national television for the rest of the season.
That doesn't happen when a member athlete completes a fantastic play at Duke, Stanford, or Ohio State. At all.
