I do think there is a talent gap, but not nearly to the extent some Utah fans believe. That talent gap is more with the quality of back ups. The starters for both teams are typically pretty close to equal with BYU usually having the edge at quarterback, receivers and linebackers and Utah having the edge at running back, the lines, defensive backs and special teams. It’s a great rivalry and will hopefully always be.
