While the talent gap is a lie proven false by on field results.

The specific observation about RBs is probably true. However, BYU’s 18 year old QB would start ahead of Utah’s three year staring senior so in his face.
And last time I checked the starting QB is quite a bit more indicative of success than the fifth or sixth RB.
