Recruiting has dipped since he has been the coach. Recently recruiting has dipped because we are winning less games...which is a result of how well we have done on the field. So him not being too excited about recruiting day to me reflects a lot on how he feels (and I feel) about how well he has done at BYU.
Yes I believe had we won more often there would be higher recruits still out there looking at BYU that would fill some holes...or improve our talent if that is how you want to put it. Because we have been meh, we have about a meh chance at some of these recruits.
I think most of us are giving Kalani this last year to show improvement, hopefully he does this, wins more and gets better recruits (although his recruiting class in year 2 was extremely disappointing after a 9 win season).
