And I think he knew that, but wanted to see what they had after last season's

success. He has a team option on Favors and Rubio is expiring. The wasn't a slam dunk signing and he wanted flexibility this offseason. Nobody really has a chance against GS this year anyway, so why not let things go until this offseason when Jazz have much more flexibility.

That's my theory at least.
