I just bought a Samsung QLED on black friday. Very happy with it
Went back and forth between buying it or just a normal LG that was quite a bit cheaper. I am happy I went with the Samsung because the picture quality is noticeably better than any other TV I have ever had and the tv runs really slick.
OLED is better, but I read somewhere that QLED can be better for light rooms (not sure if that's true) and I couldn't justify spending even more on an OLED.

Samsung are master marketers. They didn't want to take a patent license from LG to make OLED, so they do what

Don't get me wrong, QLEDs are still awesome. In fact, nearly every TV on CNETs 2019 list are fantastic.
