I have an 8 year old Samsung plasma, and it still works great. No signs
of the picture quality fading over time. Samsung makes a good tv.

Samsung are master marketers. They didn't want to take a patent license from LG to make OLED, so they do what

Don't get me wrong, QLEDs are still awesome. In fact, nearly every TV on CNETs 2019 list are fantastic.
