But if so, yes, that's a diverse crowd. A bunch of californians and canadians (who I would assume are LDS). Then some random norwegians and south africans.
Also, and I hate to debate it too much, 1990 was a different world than 2019. The internet did not exist. Young kids had far less information and input about what they were doing. I think young people were less political (at least I was, and that's my generation). I suspect it's harder to recruit non-LDS kids to BYU now than it was in 1990. But maybe I'm wrong.
