he was a class A jerk whose ego and pride was his downfall. He probably didn't need all the HGH to become the greatest hitter ever. maybe the juice got him 50 more HR's and the HR record, but had he just played hard, been a good teammate, actually been pleasant with his fans, and kept playing all those years clean, he probably could have been the greatest AND most beloved baseball player EVER. Think Mickey Mantle type of recognition. But instead, he treated everyone like garbage and filled himself so full of drugs his head almost exploded.
Although, during the high 'juice years', it was insane how he walked like 200 times a year and still managed to hit every other ball out of the yard. just incredible talent.
