I still have no idea how he came to that conclusion. I mean...there is a Y in Baylor, yes.
Also in Lake Havasu a guy told me "Your Yale boys did a great job last night" after Yale upset some other team in the NCAA tourney a few years back.
So yes, the stretch Y is still a mystery to some throughout the country. I could see how people get confused with Yale with the Y that the baseball team wears, but the stretch Y looks nothing like the Yale Y.
Oh well, the logo is probably still more widely recognized as BYU more often than people recognizing that a Ute fan saying "the U" is not referring to Miami.
