This is the difference between "media" and "journalism".
2018's "media", which spews out hyperbole, conjecture, opinion, and biased "information" is not "journalism". Journalism "merely" fact-checks information before reporting what really happened.
This is an unfortunate side-effect of the explosion of stupidity caused by too many people having access to the internet to claim their set of "facts" is the truth.
