Because sticking needles of things you have little knowledge of what exactly
is in them into your baby scares people. It's really that simple. I'm not condoning it, just saying that I understand the fear. Parenting comes with a lot of fears and vaccines is one of them for some parents. It doesn't mean they aren't fearful of the diseases they prevent either, it's just that that vaccines come right after birth and the thought of injecting the child with something that poses even a very small risk is scary. Add on top of that the internet and the scary information they read, whether true or not.

I can understand it, even if I don't agree.
