I left in 2008, everyone had cell phones, but smartphones hadn’t really
come around yet - unless you count Blackberrys. But I had my immediate family and my GF (now my wife) in attendance, no one else. I don’t like making a circus out of the mission call opening either, I’m just a pretty private guy in general and don’t like drawing attention to myself in that way.
