To me it was a situation where there was a perfect storm of a mother and father who were both equally naive and maybe unfulfilled meeting a pedophile with enough charisma and salesmanship to manipulate everyone around. Guy manipulated judge, jury, police, former cellmates, brother, etc. Scary what he could convince people to do.

The parents do come out looking foolish. Just not sure I'd consider them getting pleasure from taking part. But I could be wrong. I can't believe they were willing to share their story.
