Yep. Big driver of Bond’s subsequent psychology. Bond uses women mostly for his
own pleasure and doesn’t care about them or that his actions often put them in danger. But two women actually captured his heart (Vesper Lynd and then later Contessa Teresa di ViCenzo) - and then died immediately thereafter. The books dive into this a little bit more.
