I was 17 and thought it would be fun to be a church ball ref. Went to a region
ref training and started by reffing a girls church ball game.
By halftime I had had enough. Parents were horrible and the players sucked. Yeah, dad, I called travel on your 14 year old who can't dribble the ball. Yeah, mom, I called 3-seconds on your 14 year old who has been parked in the key for the entire possession.
I quit after that day. I didn't need that noise in my life.
