I used to ref high school ball. Once there was a group of parents yelling at me
Complaint about the calls going against the team. It was getting out of hand with some of the comments they were making, so during a timeout I approached them and asked if they would like me to explain the rules to them. They didn't say anything else the rest of the game. 😀
