CRI (color rendering index) is an under-reported specification for LED bulbs. Sometimes it's on the box, sometimes not. It's usually listed on the specs on the website. Your typical CFL has a CRI in the 40 to 50 range. LEDs usually start out around 75 or 80, and real high-quality LEDs are in the 90s. I bought an overhead work light for my wife's art room that has a CRI of 98. The colors in that room are so bright and vibrant. If you take one of her new paintings into a room lit by CFLs it looks bland and lifeless.
