It may not happen in the next two and a half seasons (like he'd intentionally play a half season?) at an elite level.

But in another very realistic scenario, he's got 1-2 more elite scoring seasons, and 2-3 pretty decent ones where he makes an art out of getting to the FT line and picking his spots. That's what Malone was doing the last five years of his career, and they're built similarly.

He can get 90 games out of one NBA season with a playoff series or two (110 is the absolute max if you go the distance in each of four series).

Over four seasons of 90 games (360), he needs to average 15.6 points to break Kareem's record. Barring catastrophic injury possibilities, getting 15/game for four more years feels like falling off a log for LeBron.
