This is a problem with the new WCC format
Lower seeds get used to the environment and get hot while the higher seeds sit and wait. I honestly like BYU’s chances better in a Semifinal matchup vs a cold SMC team than I do vs an acclimated USD team tonight. Other than Gonzaga, it seems like a disadvantage for the higher seeds to have so many BYEs.
