In flight FDR and CVR data streaming was demonstrated by FLYHT last September
Boeing was one of the partners in the testing.
The technology worked successfully for both the FDR and CVR, but the satellite infrastructure needs to be improved.

A lot of data is already being sent in real time via ACARS. (Digital data link)
