This is a loathsome mantra of the lazy.
Playing tough defense and effective offense are NOT mutually exclusive. Good players do it all the time. It’s a matter of skill on the offensive end, and largely a function of effort and conditioning on the defensive end.
It was a bad excuse when we used it for Jimmer not playing D then—and it’s a bad excuse now.
Two way players exist. They just never really have under Dave Rose.
