is not as bereft of talent as you claim. That core 6 is a good nucleus of players on paper that should be able to take a few other role players along and be far better in the WCC than they were, and far better than a 19-13 season getting passed up by the NIT. Same goes for recent NIT seasons where we had guys like Mika, Bryant, Dastrup, etc.

I find your "eyeball test tells us we suck and if you don't agree you don't know basketball" argument to be severely lacking. The recent NIT/no post-season spat of BYU basketball could have and should have been far better. You can't tell me we don't have a coaching issue. I love Dave Rose too, I respect what he has done for the program... in the past. That appreciation for the past doesn't change the reality that the program is stagnated and even digressing and needs a change.
