So let me see if my Weber State logic has this right:

- The Ute/Jazz fan base will boo Jimmer because BYU is in their heads “rent free”. (Never mind the fact that they’d just be boo’ing an opposing player)

- BYU fan is standing in front of his bathroom mirror, as we speak, practicing his tough guy routine just waiting for some dirty Yewt/Jazz fan to boo Jimmer. (And so who really lives in who’s head “rent free”?)

- Other BYU/Jazz fans are hoping to see Jimmer drop dagger after dagger on the Jazz to show those dirty Yewt/Jazz fans. First of all, if you’re a TRUE Jazz fan, they should be more important to you than Jimmer. You should want the guy to do well against every single team in the league EXCEPT the Jazz. Second, instead of praying for daggers from Jimmer vs your “favorite” Hometown NBA team, maybe, just maybe, realize that this is Jimmer’s first NBA action in nearly 4 years and maybe hope for a made basket or two and the slightest hint that Jimmer has decided to attempt to play defense in the 8-9 mins he’ll see the floor on Monday.

- And the best part of it all?! Jimmer mania is back in full force as Damien Lillard sits back and laughs. I never understood Jimmer capturing the hearts and minds of an entire state while 70 miles north on I-15, the best college basketball player in the state was flying under the radar while everyone else was falling in love with a 1 trick pony.

Good to see some things never change.
