Andrew Lincoln is completely incapable to compete on the Hawaii level.
Gardini also isn’t at that level but is somewhat competitive, however, he is learning that he needs to work a ton on placement and power. Dinks won’t get it done on this level.
Gabe was holding his own. If we had two of him we could almost compete at Hawaii’s level, accept that our receive game is weak, our setters are well below top level players and again, float serve at this level from half the team ends in automatic kills against you playing a team that is this good.
in regards to Hawaii, that’s the best I have seen a college team play in years. We would need both Sanders brothers, Ben Patch and a really top notch setter/libero to be able to compete with Hawaii. That is a very, very good team that the current BYU team would lose to easily if they played 100 matches. Huge gap in skill, ability and execution. I just can’t see even LBS getting past these guys, but I hope that match is on national TV when it happens as it will be the best in years.
