My take...
I can appreciate the passion. However, I think we are best served by packed stadium and fans that are into it. Look at our history.... When I first attended games in the late 80s people wore whatever. But dang people were into it. Wearing gear is unifying, but fact is what the school stands for is generally our biggest unifier. I hear what folks are saying about winning being a cure, but hey the landscape is tough and this is partially out of our control. I think what has happened is we have let others tarnish our image and we have taken on self loathing and have lost confidence; This is something we can change. In summary our fan base is odd, but it is nothing new. We will never have great tailgating, or traditions similar to other colleges. Give me back the fully invested fans...we need that support than ever. Heres to an even better and re energized year and not giving a rip what the opposition thinks.
