It’s one of my biggest fears as a ATV and UTV owner with kids
I love that they are playing outside and having fun, but they don’t always get the safety concerns. My sons avoided any major injuries and my wife’s kids so far have but I have to be in constant reminder that helmets, seatbelts, and no extra riders beyond the capacity of the vehicle allowed. It’s just so sad as often the more comfortable the teen is with the vehicle, the more risks they are willing to take despite the parents rules for it. I finally had to put the keys and spare keys to everything in my gun safe just to ensure the rule of asking for permission before just riding or not riding when parents aren’t home.

This tragedy is another reminder that we can never teach our kids too many times the importance of safety when having fun with recreational vehicles. I hope the girl recovers and the families are able to as well.
