I’m no jazz fan and wasn’t even alive during his career, but I don’t see top 5
Looking at stats, he had 5 good years before getting hurt and going downhill quickly. In those 5 years he scored, but he wasn’t particularly efficient. He also turned the ball over a lot for a non pg. It appears most of his value came defensively, where he excels in advanced metrics.

Still, he’s obviously not ahead of Malone, Stockton, or Dantley. Is he better than Gobert? Not a chance, Gobert is in season 6 and he’s elite defensively. Is he better than AK-47? I don’t see it, AK-47 was also elite defensively and pretty good offensively and had more good years than Griffith. Was he better than DWill? Maybe, they had similar number of good years in Utah. Williams was a 2 time all star. Was significantly better offensively...at least looking at stats.

Stats don’t tell the whole story, but here they don’t tell a story of him being top 5 jazz all time.
