You say pistol Pete is easily a top 5 jazz guy but he’s nowhere close to the top 5 in any advanced stats. He scored a ton, but wasn’t particularly efficient. They didn’t track turnovers the first half his career, but judging by his last couple year when they did, he turned the ball over a ton. His teams were also bad.
I think your getting a little caught up in the flashiness or pistol Pete and his big scoring numbers and not accounting for the fact that he just didn’t provide a lot of value to winning games.
Now he was probably way before his time...probably would have been much better in the modern nba with a 3 point shot, but we’ll never know.
