Happened to me years ago. I hit a minivan going 3 mph. Cop came and didn’t give me a ticket. I find out her husband is a
chiropractor that focuses on car injury victims. Right after I got out I tell her sorry and ask if everyone is ok. She says yes, everyone is fine. I make the comment that it’s not surprising since I was barely moving. Next thing I know she calls her husband to let him know. No big deal and expected. Soon after the call ends her kid comes out and takes literally hundreds of photos. Her car, our car, location, etc. Cop shows up and asks how everyone is. I say my family is obviously fine. She says we are ok..... I think. You think? What do you mean you think? Weird.

Next thing I know I get a letter from his attorney buddy saying that 3 of the 4 people in the vehicle were still having troubles that required chiropractic adjustments. The 4th victim was a family friend who has morals and ethics. Dirt bag Chiro and his attorney buddy are BYU fans. I’ve told a few people about my experience and everyone that knows either of them tell me a story about how dishonest they are with their own interactions with them.

Well over a year after the accident they were still having neck pain even though the kids are seen going sledding in the snow, trip to Disneyland, etc.

Time continues to go on where I flip a lid and call my insurance agent demanding we don’t settle and requesting the medical bills/charts from the husband who was treating the kids. My insurance says they will look into it because I clearly hit alsoneone who knows the system.

Miraculously they settle with an undisclosed amount of money with my insurance. My insurance didn’t go up but the dishonest chiro walked away with a wad of cash in his hand.

I still can’t stand the attorney and especially can’t stand the chiro.

Moral of the story.... Don’t ever get in an accident. It was my fault. But regardless if you are going 3 mph or 100 dong hit an injury chiro or an injury attorney.
