Here's the thing. Let's take the following hypothetical:
1. Player A leaves after junior year for Europe. He gets $X to start out with and Y years to earn money as a professional player. Their playing time may be limited in the first year because they're a rookie and because they really aren't an NBA caliber player.

2. Player B decides to stay and work on improving their game, while getting 30-35 minutes per game for 30-35 games. Because of this extra time they are a better player. They then get $Z to start out and Y-1 years to earn money as a professional player. Their playing time in their first year may be more than Player A because they got in the extra development work and game experience as a senior. Their $Z starting salary may be increased because they improved their national profile as well.

Is PV(Player A Career Earnings) > PV(Player B Career Earnings)?
