Crunch was both in numbers and the caliber (or lack thereof) talent filing the spots.
You don't push a guy out that soon before he has a chance to develop, and on top of it, leave his spot to guys who aren't even better.
The roster management was pathetic and I'm happy for a change. An approach we saw in another sport at the same time. Get your few guys at the top, then fill out the rest of the roster with bleh. No depth. And then to let so many leave and not allow them to get old and develop in your program.
