I think the game is passing him up a bit though, he isn’t a fan of the high volume three point shooting teams are doing these days. His team still takes tons of mid range shots, which isn’t a formula for a ton of success in today’s NBA.

And I agree that without Pop, I don’t think any of their three pillars (Duncan, Parker, or Manu) would have been as good as they were. His system put them all in a position to succeed at a high level, to maintain that level of play for as long as he did was incredible.
