it is really weird when the oldest moves out
when our daughter left for college, we only had elementary and mid-schoolers left at home, so we suddenly reverted to a much younger demographic, it was like going back in time. only thinking about kid stuff instead of high school sports and activities. it was also a big loss not having a third driver in the household.

it was also weird not having a kid who you can have basically adult conversations with. now we're finally again at the point where the youngest are also high schoolers and starting that talk about graduation and missions/colleges.

in three years we'll go from having 3 kids still at home to none at home. that will be really strange.
