Here are my complaints:

1) It tended to cook hotter than the setting. Things got to temp faster than they probably should. That's fine if you're trying to hurry to eat, but it doesn't give you the most desirable texture of meat.

2) It was really difficult getting the proper smoke penetration. I didn't see much of a smoke ring.

3) Biggest complaint, and the reason mine died, was a design flaw. The wiring connected to the heating element would eventually short out. I fixed the wiring several times before it was no longer fixable, and died completely.

1 and 2 were ok dealing with, I still produced really good end results. I did an awesome brisket, many racks of ribs, several full-sized turkeys, and they were wonderful. But #3 was the killer for me. It broke down consistently, then quit entirely, so I need something more reliable.
