My main point has always been not the claims of Messi as current greatest, but the apoplectic reactions from Messi adherents of any dissenting views. The eyeroll is at Messi fans, not Messi. I have no problem with Messi being considered the greatest current player. There are good reasons for that view. I do have a problem with the reactions to a CR7 vote. I think CR7 is greater. Some of that valuation is stylistic.
You know, there is a such thing as abuse of statistics and "facts".
