Fire pit advice

I'm putting a firepit in the middle of my yard this summer. I am building a surround for it for chairs to sit on. I'm debating between brick and concrete. I have a concrete guy that will pour a slab with a section in the middle left open for my pit for $750. I can do pavers from HD or Lowe's for about 300 probably. Any benefits to either?

For the pit itself or the surrounding seating?

For the seating. The pit will be gravel in the bottom and bricks on the walls.

Concrete will give you a more level, smooth surface to slide/pull chairs around on.

I think pavers look best. You'll still need to prep to lay them, gravel & sand.

$750 is for a 12x12 4 inch thick pad with a 3x3 square out of the middle for the

Agree... but when laid by pros/done well, pavers look WAY better than concrete.

I like the concrete look more. Pavers look cheap imo but we have a more modern
