What will the NBA look like in 3-5 years?
Teams that appear to be in great shape.

Bucks - Antetokounmpo is 24 and in all likelihood winning his first MVP. Brogdon is 26 and Middleton 27 so both should still be effective in 3-5 years. A 24 year-old MVP who wants to play in your city is about as good of a long term prospect as it gets.

Nuggets - The 3 man core is 24, 24 and 21 and may add Michael Porter Jr. 20 to it next year and Jokic appears to be an absolute star. Even most of the bench guys are young. They finished with the 4th most wins in the NBA this past year and appear to be trending up.

Sixers - Embiid is 25. Simmons is 22. Harris is 26 if he re-signs. Assuming Embiid stays healthy they are in pretty good shape.

Mavericks - Luka Doncic was almost an all-star at 19. If Porzingis stays healthy and out of Jail he has a ton of talent at 23. I do worry that their lack of future draft picks will bite them though.

Honorable Mention:

Jazz - Mitchell is only 22 and Gobert 26. They need more around them though. Yes I have the Mavericks over them because I think Doncic will be better than Mitchell.

Celtics - Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are a good tandem to build around. Kyrie is only 27 as well, but who knows where he will end up.

Suns - On paper the Suns have a ton of young talent, but until they actually win 20 games it is hard for me to think too highly of Ayton, Booker and Co.

Kings - Fox is 21, Bagley 20, Hield 26, Cauley Stein 25, Barnes is still only 26. But, who is the big star? Fox or Bagley is the hope. Unstable coaching and front office will always hurt this team until they get it figured out.

I think even the honorable mentions are set to be in the playoffs for years to come, but you just never know what will happen. A few years back everyone was high on the Wizards future with Wall, Beal and Porter. They overpaid Porter and Wall hasn't been the player we all thought he would be. Even just a year ago the Pelicans were in the 2nd round with Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis. Now? After a bad season they will probably start a rebuild of sorts.
