My father-in-law is such a nice guy that he didn't deserve it. Normally, he can shake things off but it bothered him that his daughter treated him like a woman hater over it. I felt bad for him.

Maybe it's the wrong thing to do, but I use the term "gal" around him as much as I can now. Enough time has passed that he's able to laugh it off now.
